Welcome to the Neuromedical AI Lab
Neuromedical AI research is a highly interdisciplinary endeavor to create significant advances in the area of useable, everyday-life neurotechnology. We aim to provide patients, caretakers, and the general public with accurate neuronal decoding solutions fitted into accessible, real-life devices, both to improve quality of life and enhance cooperation and efficiency between human beings and robotic helpers.
Our research group draws deeply from a unique pool of knowledge in the fields of medicine, neurobiology, physics, engineering and linguistics, thus coalescing the expertise required to create cutting-edge real-life technological applications. We are a part of the cluster of excellence BrainLinks-BrainTools and cooperate closely with our associates in Freiburg and partner institutions around the world.

SARS-CoV-2 / COVID-19
Currently, we are working on several projects related to the SARS-CoV-2 virus and the COVID-19 disease. The plot below shows infections of COVID-19 across the federal states of Germany and in Freiburg. It is based on data published daily by the Robert Koch-Instiut which we reuploaded to a spreadsheet, and by the ministry of social affairs of Baden-Württemberg.
